Making the soil suitable for strawberries, planting and delivering the strawberry seedlings that we have carefully grown after dripping and mulching.
Soil Preparation
If the soil to be planted is beach, 4-6 tons, 3-4 tons of burnt farm manure in normal soils, 30-35 kg / da nitrogen, phosphorus and potash containing compound fertilizer should be given after soil analysis and before planting. After fertilization, the soil should be processed and the fertilizer should be mixed with the soil. After the soil is cultivated, soil fumigation should be done if necessary. Planting pillows should be prepared after the soil has been thoroughly processed.
Mulching
Strawberry production area plastic, straw, hay, etc. covered with "mulching" is called. By mulching; Weed control, Extending the irrigation interval, Keeping fruits clean, Less fruit rot (Botrytis) is seen in fruits. The most practical mulching is done with plastic mulch. While preparing the planting pads, the width of the available plastic should be taken into account. The plastic to be used must be resistant to sunlight (UV added).
Seedling Planting
Prepared bobbins are between 25-40 cm in height. Plastic cover is laid. It is inserted into the soil from both sides and pressed. The places where the seedlings will be planted are cut 40 × 80 cm or a 6 cm diameter hole is drilled. Strawberry seedlings are planted in the soil from here with the help of the plant (seedling planting stake). The roots of the plant are in the soil and under the plastic cover; leaves, flowers and fruits also grow on the cover.
